Bringing Good Jobs Back to America!

As noted in the Essay on this site titled. "Where Have All the Good Jobs Gone?,"  unemployment in the US for the past two years has been at record levels.  Even the apparent boost in employment as reported by the government to aid in Obama's reelection campaign is suspect, because when an American hists the upper limit of time collecting unemployment, they are no longer counted. Though government may not lie, and that is debatable, they always spin the truth in their favor. The financial collapse we have been suffering created a lull in buyer confidence and of course that resulted in significantly less sales for all companies.  When sales stop, so does hiring. All the tax increases and stimulus plans in the world will not help employment once sales stop.

If buffoons or perhaps my favorite non-action figures, 435 blocks of granite had taken over Congress in 2009, they would have already done better.  If there were a right way and a wrong way to get something done, Congress in all circumstances went the wrong way despite cautions over and over from worried constituents.

When the people said, "no bailouts," Congress responded with TARP and the bailouts. When the people said "no" to the pork and the opportunities for Congress to buy votes for their 2010 and 2012 elections, at a cost over $825 Billion, Congress responded with the stimulus bill. While it was being debated, this bill was rightfully renamed by Republicans as the Porkulus bill. It is a national shame. It was supposed to be a jobs bill. If it created another job, that new job would be lonesome.  Overall, every borrowed dime Obama spent on his stimulus games, contributed in the negative towards the economy as businesses were crying out, "just let us alone."

When the people cried out for tax relief for individuals and for small businesses, Congress chose instead to continue taxing. They led with Cap and Trade in the House, more spending, more bailouts, and of course more porkulus. Though Cap and Trade never made it through the Senate, there were those such as Senator Robert P. Casey Jr. of Pennsylvania ready to sacrifice his state's coal industry by passing Cap and Trade for his newest best buddy, Barack Hussein Obama. That was not enough for Obama and Casey.  Despite vocal opposition from Americans everywhere, Congress rammed through the Obamacare package.

Obamacare will dearly cost Seniors and will tax the country another $2 trillion over the next ten years when there just is nothing to give. It is a jobs killer.  With Obama's regulations and Obamacare looming, businesses are holding on totheir resources and making no commitments to the future because this anti-business administration has placed a steel wall between them and their future success.

Now the winds are brewing for a Value Added Tax, or other evenue enhancers (taxes) rather than stop spending and become fiscally responsible.  Ironically after December 2010's extension of the Bush Tax cuts, with just about three months under our belt, and with some apparent lowering of the mythical unemployment number to under 9%, the President in April, 2011 was ready to declare victory, take a few laps and cancel out the Bush Tax cuts because his campaign for President needs him to look different for his progressive base. So, don;t expect the jobs picture to improve while Mr. Ambivalence and Mr. Indecision are occupying Obama's suits. Americans may soon be asking for a return of Mr. December.

All of this taxing and spending has drained the country of capital and the threat of new and more costly taxes and business crippling regulations looms everyday.  In 2010, when it became tough to get more legislation out of the Congress, already overwhelmed by the Obamacare mistake, the Obama Czars began to create executive orders and regulations that are just as business-crippling as if they were enacted by Congress. Some are concluding that our president does not want capitalism to succeeed in our country anymore, and that puts a cold chill on businesses thinking about expansion. So, business is exercising deep caution to avoid being caught by the next dumb Washington decision. It is a matter of survival and government is clearly the enemy.

You and I know that you cannot spend and spend hoping to be become rich by spending. It ain't going to happen - ever.  Nobody becomes rich by draining their assets through superfluous spending. American businesses are very timid about their futures and their opportunities. Now, already seeing the increased expenses for healthcare, businesses are hurting more and pulling back even more.  Thousands have appealed for relief examptions from Obamacare for 2011 and to the surprise of many, one by one, they are getting the waivers.

With Obamacare taking more and more of the capital and a dismal business outlook, many businesses are about to reduce their health insurance benefits but it is even worse than that.  In many cases, companies have had to make the decision to cut their workforces.  Incenting businesses to cut their workforce by poor legislation and redulations and taxing policy surely does not create any jobs

Obama and the 111th Congress were the most anti-business ever. With just half of Congress back in the hands of pro-business leaders, things are just a bit better, but the Senate and the President still get to say no on any good ideas that come forth.

Here we are in 2011 / 2012, and after more than two years of openly punishing and demonizing business, the government can't figure out why businesses are not hiring and creating jobs.  They cannot see a cause and effect of poor policies and poor results. It is a cause and effect scenario folks. You and I know the answer. Government took all the money. It is still taking it, and it is spending even more than it takes.

There will be no jobs recovery until the Halls of Congress are swept clean of the stench of the 111th Congress and another batch of freshmen Senators arrive to give this government back to the people.  For this changeover to be a success, of course, the people's job, that's you and me, is to make sure no incumbent sneaks back -- even if they may have a nice juicy porksicle getting ready with your name on it. More than anything in these dangerous times, the people, all the people must pay attention to what these rogues are doing in Congress.

It is these knaves who over time spent our Social Security funds and they will spend whatever they can get their hands on to get reelected. After blaming Bush for two years, Obama is still blaming him but now he is back in campaign mode so he is remaking himself as the greatest president of all time. Though often duped by politicians, the Obama report card is visible by all Americans and the majority have come to dismiss our President as the great prevaricator. Americans are no longer duped. They know the winner of every prize, the winner of every race, the hero of every story, is President Obama, and his greatest ability is campaign speeches. Teamed with a Senate that does not care about the people, the best I can say about Obama back on the campaign is that this won't hurt Americans as bad as if he was trying to use his economic skills to help business.

Forget about new hires! American companies have still not yet bottomed out and there are no government programs other than those that will hurt jobs in the foreseeable future. COmpanies are treading water knowing if they commit, the Obama hammer will nail them as sure as three months after giving them tax releif in April 2011 he wants to take it away. Nobody can run a business and grow jobs with a president like this and a Senate that praises every move he makes.

The full boom has not fallen as the Cap and Trade has yet to become the law of the land.  Of course it will not become the law of the land via the legislature because it died in the 111th Congress. But, the EPA has the Capa and Trade mission and they are coming out with oppressive regulation after regulation that, when added up will be the moral equivalent of Capand trade.

So, now business is concerned about the new dictatorial powers of Obama in that the EPA is about to nail business anyway by bureaucratic fiat.  Who does the EPA head work for?  Obama! Congress can stop this usurpation of Congressional power by the EPA by defunding it, and I will vote for that for sure. The House in this new 112th Congress is not playing dumb because they know and care what it is happening.  But, the Senate is filled with a bunch of old farts whose seats stink and whose actions for the country stink even worse.

Wherever businesses look, there is an Obamareason why they cannot hire people.  Each reason is supported by the Senate and Robert P. Casey Jr., Obama's right hand man. So, how do we turn things around? How can we put America back to work?  How can we bring good jobs back to America.?  It's time to end the switch to socialism first of all. We cannot afford it.  Socialism is anti-business and anti-jobs so along with lots of other things, socialism has got to go.  Check out these three plans to help bring Jobs back to America:

Plan 1 Replace Congress and Lower Taxes

One way to create a solution that would work would be for the Congress never to pass the business-killing Cap and Trade bill and to defund the EPA so they can not perform the same function de-facto. That would be a good start.  Another would be to really not spend the multiple trillion dollars on Obamacare.  More than likely both of these cannot happen until there is a new Senate because the current Senate thinks Harry Reid is a god. It is the problem.

The 2012 elections are coming though they are not quite just right around the corner.  Some primary elections such as in Pennsylvania offer the opportunity to remove an incumbent even before the November general election.  Those Pennsylvanians who want to assure the same rats do not get back to Washington, should vote out the incumbent, Robert P. Casey Jr. We give you lots of reasons on this site. Don't just blame Harry Reid.  Robert P. Casey Jr. is one of his boys and he brought a bankrupt Nevada  set of ethics to the Congress this term. SO, it is time to say adios to Casey Jr. Say it April 24, 2012 so the Senator can spend his huge campaign war-chest on his retirement.

Across the country,  the whole House and 1/3 of the senate must go.  Unfortunately we can vote out just our own representatives.  Another one who must go is President Barack Obama and that will help bring the government back tothe people.

Obama has died a number of times over the past few years but he resurrects long enough to blame Gaorge Bush for everything, including his graying hair.  When he goes down again, let him lie.  He is like the Energizer Bunny with multiple lives and energy to spare.  Don't let him get into your mind.  Who knows what his next trick will be.

If the American people sees the tricks as tricks, and we recognize that our president who has never met a lie he can't tell, we do have a chance. However, if we see the tricks as Obama having had a change of heart or that the devil made him do it, Americans will be hurting for a long time. The new Senate and an honest House is our only hope if and only if there are many replacement players.  They can then enact real jobs measures by lowering the taxes on the businesses that generate jobs.  The current strategy of increasing taxes is moving the country from recession towards a depression.

Start replacing our PA players on April 24, 2011. it will be good for Pennsylvania. it will be good for America. It will help us begin to give businesses hope so that tax relief and hiring is the next order of the day.  .

Plan 2. Implement an Americans First Strategy

Assuming Congress is replaced, we have the opportunity to do some big things to create an environment that is good for business, good for workers, and good for America.   The lowering of taxes and perhaps some small business incubators will give at least 8 million companies reason to look forward and therefore have reasons to increase hiring. However, different measures need to be implemented for the largest American Corporations.

Quite frankly, and this is why I am not a Republican, I would like to see American Corporations take an oath of allegiance to America. Let's start with General Electric and in addition to the oath of allegiance how about a tax pledge. Promise to pay at least a buck but never take anything from America's treasury. This whole large company solution according to my plan begins by having America's Fortune 500 Corporations admit that they are American Corporations first and that they are not global entities that merely play a little ball with America.  You'll see what I mean as we expand this essay with Plan 3.

Plan 3. Other Areas in Which Solutions are Proposed

Check out some other essays on this site to get the full prespective. The following ideas are fleshed out and in those essays you will see there is reason for optimism.  The other areas that are examined in other essays in this Jobs Section of the site include the following

  • Offshoring -- Cost in jobs and the solution
  • Illegal Immigration -- Cost in jobs and the solution
  • Worker Visas, such as H-1B -- Cost in jobs and the solution
  • Government Regulation -- Cost in jobs and the solution

Please join us by reading the solutions proposed in each of these areas in the menu options under Jobs! To say the least, they are non standard. Thank you for your attention.
