Kelly for US Senate

Brian Kelly  has withdrawn from running as write-in for 2018. He favors Lou Barletta because govt. needs to return to the people! Bob Casey does not represent ordinary Pennsylvanians.  Like Bernie Sanders, Casey is a pro-death socialist. Lou Barletta has Kelly's 100% endorsement. Kelly put this web site together in 2012 when he ran against Bob Casey. Casey would not debate Kelly because he preferred to hide in Scranton. Check the record.

Cap & Trade -- National Energy Tax

Cap & Trade -- The National Energy Tax

One of the worst pieces of legislation of all time, which had already passed the Pelosi House in the 111th Congress was hung up in the Senate and ultimately died before the Congress finished its business. It was known as "the CAP and TRADE bill."  The people called this the Obama Energy Tax bill.

It was passed by the Pelosi led House literally in the dark of night. Like many bills in 2009, It was unread by the masses in Congress, including Bob Casey Jr. who was noted to the Press that he was prepared to go along with his friends Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid, rather than vote with Pennsylvanians.Despite the Coal and power industries in Pennsylvania, Casey was ready to turn off the lights.

It would have meant that the cost of your natural gas, electricity, gasoline and taxes would QUADRUPLE after the bill went into effect.  No American family from the middle class on down has another $3,000 to spend on energy on top of the recent 30% price increase for electric power?  This legislation was not good for Pennsylvania and it was not good for the country, but it was good for Robert P. Casey Jr.'s political ambitions

Being Unknown!

It's Tough Being Unknown!

Can we say that only the "Unknown Comic" can be both unknown and well known at the same time. For the rest of us, if we are unknown, we are unknown. It is tough to win an election if you are unknown. Right now I am unknown simply because I am unknown. Bob Casey Jr. is known by many, yet because he is quite stealthy in times when he is needed,  to some he appears to be the "unknown senator.

Therefore I might suggest that only the unknown compic and the unknown senator are both unknown and well known.

It is not such a good thing when  "everybody knows somebody sometime" and you are not on the list.  When you are the new guy, sometimes a lot of people, especially press forgets.  Sometimes, they don't even care. I can recall in the middle of the Primary season in 2010 in DIstrict 11, a race in which there were just three candidates, I was still not mentioned in the Citizens Voice and Times / Tribune campaign articles. Let me assure you in running for office then and now, it hurts to be unknown.

Many of my friends have asked me how I hope to get known in the sixty-seven counties of Pennsylvania. There are about 4.5 million Democrats in total in Pennsylvania and just 3.25 million Republicans. One would wonder how Republicans ever win a state-wide election. Thank God, I don't have the Republican problem. I am a Democrat. The answer to the question though is not so easy.
Let me tell you, it is a tough challenge to be known.

Vote for the Underdog!

BRIAN KELLY ASKS PENNSYLVANIA VOTERS TO DO THE AMERICAN THING: "VOTE FOR THE UNDERDOG."

After a lot of thought, Brian Kelly launched his Congressional campaign in February, 2010 and, while seeing 1000 signatures as a formidable obstacle, he told his supporters what he was all about and that he believed we could get the signatures and that we would win the nomination and the election. With a week to spare, Kelly had amassed over 1500 signatures and ultimately garnered first spot on the ballot.

Brian still believes that what separated him from his opponents at the time, Congressman Paul Kanjorski and Lackawanna County Commissioner Corey O'Brien was that he was not a politician. Kelly has never been a politician and does not ever want to be a politician. And, so as he contemplates his Senate run, he sees the same separation from incumbent Robert Casey Jr., who is by anybody's definition, a lifelong, career politician....

A New Idea for Term Limits

A New Idea for Term Limits!

Many Americans feel they are facing poor government now and will be through 2012 because of the political leftovers that continue to make poor decisions for all of US.  Normal people can fully sympathize with the notion that a high percentage of the members of Congress, no matter whether corrupted in their first term or their thirteenth term, are corrupt nonetheless. So, why are we giving them multiple shots at our nations treasury? Why do we reelect them? If you really look at it logically, we are the fools. The founders expected us to vote the bums out but they did not expect us to be so illogical and tolerant in our thinking.

Today I received a great quote in my email in-box that is about the President but it fits those of us who send back corrupt politicians to represent US, time and time again. Though many continue to believe that the President gets rave reviews across the world for apologizing about America and that it is just in his home country, the USA, that he gets disrespect, this quote may change your mind.

76 Regrets

Note:  When you would like to reelect your own representative or Senator. Ask them to take the pledge of 76 regrets and make sure they mean it. If they agree to sign the 76 regrets, then maybe they deserve another chance.

This is not a note from the candidate but rather a proposed note that you can ask your representative or Senator to sign to be sure that the same ole crap does not happen in the 113th Congress. When you see "I' below, it is not Brian Kelly, it is the incumbent.

To:  The People -- the Citizens of the United States of America.

Exercise Power by Your Vote

This site is not complete. It will be a few more weeks before it comes alive. Brian Kelly is preparing this site to be used for his Senate Run vs. Robert Casey Jr. Please poke around if you want but come back when our message has been brought up to date. Thank you for visiting.

Are you pleased with the economy, job prospects, the pospect of a full government takeover of healthcare, indoctrination of our youth to serve the ego of an out of control President, a huge energy tax implemented by SPA regulations to get around Congress, defended by a huge global warming hoax, bank and industry and crony bailouts, auto-industry takeovers, huge deficits, massive debt, loss of prestige in the world, disrespect for Americans, tacit diregard for the real threat of terrorism, and fifty other things that have the potential to make your blood boil?  If you are pleased, then you are one of a few in a number that continues to shrink. Why is this?

The people of this good country are waking up and finding out that the strongest country in the worldis in the process of being taken over by an eloquent speaker with a wimp character along with 40 czars, and a complicit Senate, ever assisting in the takeover.

Mr. Smith Goes to Washington

Mr. Smith Goes to Washington

Ladies and Gentlemen, I would like to present myself. My name is Jefferson Smith and I am going to Washington. -- if you select me of course.

Jimmy Stewart is one of my favorite actors of all time. He is as Americana as it gets with the perfect touch of honesty that makes even men admire the actor as a "good man," as well as the character the actor is playing.

The Real Brian Kelly

The picture of that kid in the first essay on this site is me.  It was me when I was in my late 40's. I guess that is long enough ago that I should have realized there were some physical changes.

Sexagenerians such as I  feel we are lots younger, however.  In the Congressional primary in 2010, Steve, Corbett. local radio angagonist tried to make sexagenarian into a dirty word but he public did not buy it.  (BTW, Mr. Corbett, that means people between the ages of 60 and 69 -- you will soon qualify.  Hah!)

Yes I am Pro-Baby

 Yes, I Am Pro-Baby!

I support protection of the unborn. I am father to three wonderful grown-up babies and I would not trade any of them for the whole world.  A baby is a heart melter even more than butter on black pavement on a hot day. Yet, for many, the same baby, reinserted into its mother's womb, is eligible for the executioner's knife.

I have been challenged on my pro-baby stance and that is why I decided to change the words from pro-life to pro-baby. I want the little guy, who is forming his or her life in the womb to be the focus of the argument of whether he or she lives or dies.

Yes, I am pro-mom. Pro-baby and pro-mom are synonyms.  Obviously, so is this great friend of America, Congressman Ron Paul.

Brian Kelly for Senate

Thank You for Visiting, Please Come Back!

Fellow Citizens of  Pennsylvania, soon, I hope to present myself as a Candidate to be your United States Senator from Pennsylvania.  As you know, this seat is currently held by Representative Robert Casey Jr., the son of Robert Casey Sr., one of the finest Governors ever in the State of Pennsylvania.

Unfortunately for Pennsylvanians, Bob Casey Jr. is no Bob Casey Sr. In a nutshell, that is why I hope to be running as a Democrat against Mr. Casey and others in the Primary Election on Tuesday April 24, 2012.  I do not yet know who my opponent will be in the General Election.

I am proud to say that--but for a few years--I would be a lifetime Democrat, and a lifetime resident of Northeastern PA.  Right after I earned my Bachelor of Science from King's College at the age of 21, I competed in a tough job market, and was hired to work as a Systems Engineer at IBM in Utica, New York. For two years, while living in Utica, New York, I was a registered Independent.

My dad, a lifetime Democrat, was a conservative and a good man. He was a staunch believer in the importance of labor unions.  He worked as a laborer at Stegmaier Brewery on "Brewery Hill" in Wilkes-Barre until the

Stegmaier label was purchased by the Lion Incorporated.   At that time, the Lion proudly brewed Gibbons Beer. [G-I_B-B-O-N-S, pure refreshing Gibbons. If it's Gibbons, it's good so they next time you should say gimme gimme gimme gimme Gibbons]
